West Bengal is the fourth largest state in the country with Kolkata as its capital. Bengali is the widely spoken language in the region and agriculture is an important occupation here. West Bengal is also rich in tradition and culture. Handloom production is very high, which is why it is the second largest means of livelihood after agriculture. Baharampur,Darjiling, Jalpaiguri are some of the major cities of West Bengal.

 

Women in Bengal where the shari, while men wear dhoti and panjabi. Cricket and soccer are extremely popular sports in the state. In fact, West Bengal has produced some of the country's fine cricketers and footballers.
