Webel Communication Industries Ltd. Company History and Annual Growth Details

The Company was incorporated on 1st August, 1985 at Calcutta. It was promoted in the joint sector by West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation Ltd. (WEBEL) and Communication Consultants and Services Pvt.Ltd.(CCSP).

The main objects of the Company is to manufacture Electronic Private Automatic Branch Exchange (EPABX) and Electronics Push Button Telephone Instruments (EPBTs).

The Company entered into a technical collaboration agreement with Jeumont Schneider of France for providing technology for the manufacture of electronic private automatic branch exchanges (EPABXs). The Company entered into transfer of technology & licence agreement with Siemens AG for manufacture of EPBTs, which would be made available in decadic signalling version as well as dual tone Multiple frequency signalling version. Both the technical collaboration agreements included supply of manufacturing technology, technical documents, Manufacturing machinery, test equipment, proprietory testing jigs, tools, moulds, raw materials in kitted form, assistance in indigenisation of components and providing technical training of the company's personnel.
