Wilwayfort India Ltd. Company History and Annual Growth Details

The company was incorporated as Witwayfort India Private Limited on 30th May 1986. The company was initially promoted by Mr.Debasis Mukherjee and Mrs.Parna Mukherjee. The land at Noida was acquired in 1987 on a 99 year lease. However there was no commercial activity in the company till 1988.

The company was subsequently taken over by Mr.I.P.S. Walia and Mr. Ashok Ahluwalia in March, 1989. The trading of PVC Films was started in 1988 and continued till March 1990. The Order for imported old high Vacuum Metallizing Plant of TORVAC make was placed in 1989 and was received in February 1990. The production of Metallized Plastic film was started in March 1990 and total Sales Tax exemption was obtained for six years.

The shareholders of the company passed a special resolution on 30th April 1994 deleting the word private and also removing the restriction placed under section 3(i) (iii) (a), (b), (c) of the Companies Act 1956 and obtained fresh Certificate of Incorporation dated 16th June 1994 from the Registrar of the Companies, NCT of Delhi and Haryana at New Delhi converting the Company into a Public Limited Company.

At Noida, the company has facilities for manufacturing of Metaltized Plastic film of 1200 MT P.A. and is regularly manufacturing Metaltized Polyester Film, Metallized BOPP films etc. of various sizes and thickness.

The company is diversifying its activity by starting manufacturing of Multilayered Co-extruded Plastic Film For this purpose, the company has acquired a Unit at Bhiwadi from RIICO Rajasthan on 17.12.1993. After making necessary changes, modification, the trial run were conducted in March 1994 and commercial production has been started in August 1994.
